Sept 12, 2024 | A Visit to Messrs Rahmat Lim & Partners
Our CLP and LLB students were hosted by the renowned firm, Messrs. Rahmat Lim & Partners. We were welcome with such warmth and openness by the firm’s senior
partners and associates.
The visit started with an eye-opening panel session featuring some of the key senior
partners of the firm. Through this session, the panellists very generously provided us
some valuable insights into their respective practice areas, their lives as a practitioners,
and most crucially, advice to becoming an effective practicing lawyer.
This was followed by another panel session, featuring some of ATC’s very own alumni
who are now established practitioners in the firm. Through an engaging questions-and-
answers sessions, the panellists showed us glimpses of the legal practice, the firm’s
values and inspired us through personal anecdotes.
We were then brought on an office tour, which left us mesmerised by the firm’s
minimalist and environment-friendly layout. What’s most noteworthy is how the firm’s
office spaces are mindfully decorated with beautiful paintings, which radiated a sense of
calm, as if inviting its viewers to embrace the truth that law, is an art as well.
The visit ended with a casual networking session, made more special and warm with
hot cups of tea/coffee and delicious desserts to savour. On that ‘sweet’ note, we surely
did bring back home some valuable learnings.
Here’s extending ATC’s utmost gratitude to Messrs. Rahmat Lim & Partners for hosting
us.
