Linda Felix has 30 years managing administration and academics at Advance Tertiary College Penang. Linda Felix has experience facilitating lectures in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Linda’s teaching expertise has always been in the ‘English Legal System’ and also the ‘Law of Evidence’. Linda contributes widely to benchmark ATC in the legal education and arena in Malaysia, through highest standards of academic excellence. Steers academics and administrative staff towards achieving goals and aspirations of ATC.

Promotes an atmosphere of mutual respect and open communication in the workplace. Good communicator with a caring and diplomatic approach. Equipped with sound managerial expertise to run daily administration of an institution. Absolute loyalty towards organization and management.

Academic Director

Vaani has been teaching Law in ATC Penang since the year 2000 apart from a short hiatus in 2003.  She worked with middle school students in Shanghai, to teach English as a medium of instruction.  In 2004, she resumed teaching in ATC Penang. Her past portfolios include working in customer service and insurance industries. In fact, she first joined ATC KL in 1997 as the Personal Assistant to the then Deputy CEO and Principal, Dr. Danny Choong. However, Vaani resonates most with teaching.  Although she oversees day to day administration of the college, she still actively teaches on the undergraduate programmes.

Having obtained both her undergraduate and postgraduate certificates from the University of London, Vaani is happy to work with and in her alma matter ATC, as long as she can contribute to teaching.

Head of Laws (Penang)

Kuhen’s career journey has been nothing short of dynamic and diverse. With a strong background in sales and marketing, he ventured into the field of law, earning a degree and taking up a position as a lecturer at ATC Penang. Following his time at the university, he delved into entrepreneurship and established his own F&B business. Subsequently, he took on the role of operations manager at a fast-paced F&B establishment, gaining valuable experience in managing a business.

While exploring different career paths, Kuhen also worked in the financial services industry, but ultimately realized his passion for teaching, which led him back to ATC Penang. Currently, he serves as the Head of Laws at the Penang Campus, where he imparts his knowledge and expertise in Criminal Law, Tort Law, Family Law, and Legal System to his students. Through his diverse experiences and expertise, Kuhen brings a unique perspective to the classroom, inspiring and guiding the next generation of legal professionals.

Head of Department (CLP)(Penang)

Sanjay was a practicing Lawyer before joining ATC Penang in 2007. His areas of practice was under civil litigation dealing especially with contractual, tortious, family and probate matters.

He is currently continuing to serve as the Head of Department for the CLP Programme at the Penang Campus. He was also the Registrar and Coordinator for the University of London International LLB Programme from 2008 to 2019. Previously he also taught the subject Thinking Skills on the A Levels programme and Practical Legal Skills on the Foundation in Law Programme. On the CLP front, he has been teaching the component areas of Bankruptcy and Probate for the subject Professional Practice. He has over 15 years of experience teaching law.

A dynamic teacher, he delves deeply into the subject matter that he teaches and prefers to provide a broader interpretation of a particular issue especially based on the subjects that he is currently teaching, thus providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the law and its applications.

Head of Pre-University Studies , ATC Penang

Alexander Raj has been teaching in the field of law for 6 years now and the subjects that he has anchored in academia so far are Legal System & Method, Equity & Trusts as well as Jurisprudence & Legal Theory. He is also heading the pre-university department in ATC within their Penang campus of which he coordinates every student’s academic pre-university progression.

Teaching philosophy, procedures and systems can be regimented and orthodoxy and so Alex Raj strives in keeping a lively class whilst maintaining a two-way teaching style which is fitted within modern contemporary learning-methods. He believes in giving a learning experience whilst fulfilling the academic-learning needs of his students.

Lecturer

Mr Chang Wei Sheng joined ATC Penang in 2015 after completing his law studies. Well-versed with different disciplines in law, Wei Sheng has been the principal lecturer for Company and Commercial Law at ATC Penang since he joined, and he also co-lectures in Jurisprudence and Public Law.

Wei Sheng teaches on both ATC Penang’s University of London (International) Programme and the UK Degree Transfer Programme. A passionate academician with a deep and sustained interest in law, Wei Sheng enjoys undertaking research in law and helping students appreciate the nature of law in their various subjects that he lectures in.

Registrar and Student Liaison (Penang)

Evelyn joined ATC Penang in 2015 and is currently teaching the subjects of Family Law, Property Law and Contract Law on the University of London LLB programme. She also teaches Land Law on the UKT programme as well as Introduction to Contract Law on the Foundation In Law programme.

Evelyn has previously taught Legal System and Method on the University of London LLB programme as well as English Legal System, Contract Law and Thinking Skills on the A Level programme.

As the Registrar and Student Liaison, she advises students about the application, module and exam registration with the University of London. She also handles other administrative matters pertaining to students’ progression through the programme as well as other academic queries which students may have throughout the programme.

Dr. Kavitha is a distinguished academician and the Head of the Department of Business at Advance Tertiary College, Penang Campus, Malaysia. With a specialization in Economics, Management, and Marketing, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. She earned her Bachelor of Social Science with Honors and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Science Malaysia in collaboration with Syracuse University, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, New York, USA.

Dr. Kavitha’s expertise has been widely recognized and sought after by prestigious institutions such as University Tunku Abdul Rahman, UTAR Penang Branch Campus, Disted Stamford College Penang Campus of Open University of Malaysia (OUM), TPM College, Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, Sunway College, Bandar Sunway, Subang, Selangor, Monash University Malaysia, Sunway Campus, Subang, Selangor, Unity College International, Petaling Jaya Campus, Selangor, and Segi College, Penang, Malaysia.

Her innovative and out-of-the-box approach has enabled her to add value to the bottom-line growth of higher learning institutions. Dr. Kavitha’s strong passion for education and her commitment to developing tomorrow’s leaders and world movers have driven her to pursue a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) at the Graduate School of Business at the University Science Malaysia, Minden, Penang Campus, under the scholarship of Business Administration. Alongside her academic pursuits, she is also an accomplished author, having written a book on Fluid Intelligence and published several academic journal articles. Her diverse experience and expertise make her an asset to the academic community and a valuable member of the Advance Tertiary College team.

Prakaaspathy is an experienced Law Lecturer with nearly 9 years of teaching experience. He has a proven track record of providing high-quality legal education to students from diverse backgrounds.

During his career, Prakaaspathy has taught LL.B courses for the University of London for 3 years, focusing on the Law of Succession, Law of Evidence, and Contract Law. He has also taught LL.B courses for the Northumbria UK transfer program, where he focused on Contract Law, Law of Succession, and Law of Evidence. From July 2017 to December 2022, he taught Cambridge A-Level students, helping them develop a deep understanding of legal concepts and principles.

In addition, Prakaaspathy has taught Australian legal studies subjects from the University of New South Wales in 2017 and 2019. Since January 2023, he has been teaching LL.B UK transfer courses, with a focus on Land Law, Tort Law, and Contract Law. He is known for being engaging, structured, and focused on developing students’ critical thinking and analytical skills.

Prakaaspathy is a skilled and dedicated educator who is deeply committed to helping his students achieve their full potential. He is known for his ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and accessible manner and for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Adelene Ung is a highly qualified and experienced lecturer with a passion for teaching and learning. With a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English Education and a Masters of Arts (Education) in TESOL, Adelene brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a lecturer.

Having been in the education sector for 6 years, Adelene has built up an impressive portfolio of experience, working with students from a diverse range of backgrounds and levels. Her expertise lies in teaching English, Communication Skills, and Critical Thinking to students studying at the Foundation in Law level.

Adelene is also highly committed to staying up to date with the latest developments and innovations in her field, and is constantly seeking to improve her own skills and knowledge.
